KR: It’s All in My Head

Recently the crew behind the now extinct but legendary Graffiti magazine 12Oz Prophet surprised us with a new amazing publication halfway between a book and a magazine: “Also Known As”. Now with the Also Known As name as their publishing label they have just released a second title: “KR: It’s All in My Head” that we have just received and that it’s fresh out of the presses and that you’ll still need a few weeks (months, years or never in some cases) to find in other specialized stores around Spain.

The book is one of those monographic volumes around the work of a particular artist where the artist himself has played a big part in the edition of the book and selection of its contents, making it somehow a new piece of art. As a result the book takes you on a trip within the visual universe of Craig Costello, better known as KR, artist, Graffiti writer, photographer and on top of all that creator of the infamous KRINK ink for markers (and thus tagging). Versatile while extremely coherent , KR has been able to develop a discourse of his own both in his outdoors and his indoors creations that reflects clearly his roots and background, his geographic field of action (NYC) and the present state of things in street art and Graffiti.
