"La alucinante unidad errante" ("The Amazing Wandering Unit") is a project curated by Sergio Aguilar and coordinated by Subaquatica for theFestival Cultura Urbana 07 in Madrid. It was a proposal to bring together resident artists of two different cities: New York and Madrid. The visiting artists included Maya Hayuk and NY Momo. Hayuk is a young but consolidated artist who belongs to the Barnstormers group. She has an important career in the realization of mural paintings in public spaces. Momo NY is probably the most active and personal reference for many of the creators who use the urban New York space as a support for their art. The participating local artists included, San, from the Graffiti world, and Nano4814. San, after his recent stay in Brazil and an international career that is becoming more unflagging everyday, is demonstrating a clear maturity in his discourse and style. Nano4814, an adopted Madrid native for some years now, is a fundamental artist on the national Street Art scene. He is known for his crash in colors and bearded characters, in addition to his undeniable talent.

All of them, from their extremely personal styles and ways of understanding art, collaborated in a unique support to create a group piece, one that was as ephemeral as changeable: A two-floor bus. This bus, completely covered by the works created by this collaboration, could only be seen for 3 days during the month of May. The tour program through Madrid of this bus was made public on the Festival and Subaquatica web sites. As a result, this unique bus tour served as the preface to the greater part of the Festival programming. What's more, the bus' appearance changed each day: During the days prior to its first tour through the streets of Madrid, the artists made their first creations, in a secret place. During the following three days, the bus stopped in public places so that everyone who wanted to watch could see the artists in action. This way the bus did not look exactly the same two days in a row - and after its last day's journey, it shed its skin, disappearing forever from among us, after an experience that was as amazing as bizarre and as changeable and brief as it was intense.
